A brief history of the Hamilton Street Railway, one of Canada's first electric streetcar systems.

Mississauga Transit was inaugurated in 1969 under contract to Charterways in the south & Georgetown Transportation Company in the Malton Area. With just seven buses and three routes MT has grown over the years.

When gas & diesel buses replaced streetcars in many Southern Ontario cities they took over the role as the transit work horse. Scenes shown here are of Ontario Transit Systems from 1989 to 1998. (2hrs)

In 1993 Muni decided that PCCs would be used on the new Market St. ‘F‟ line. 14 ex-Philly PCCs were rebuilt & outfitted in the livery of the various cities which ran them. Also shown is vintage 1960s cable cars, PCCs, & ETBs, & present day LTVS & artic Flyer ETBs .

Part 2 of this series carries on after 1981 when the bus fleet was repainted in the CLRV livery. The TTC also purchased GM New Looks, Classics, Flyers & Orions Vs in the new livery. Beginning in 1982 the TTC ran 12 GM artics as an experiment and later bought 90 Orion/Ikarus 60 foot artics. Also shown is the Orion 1 demo CNG bus as well as the Orion V CNG buses.

This video shows the evolution of the TTC's bus fleet from the 1920s through to 1980s .

Toronto's Electric Trolley Bus System was dismantled as a cost saving measure in 1993 with Ray Neilson riding and capturing the last ETB to run into Lansdowne Garage. This video begins with a TV interview discussing the end of Trolley Bus service. Vintage 1960's film of the Brills & Marmons are shown as well as all the ETB lines and a fan club charter to mark the end of an era.

This tape features North East Coast city buses from 1990 to the present.
